This family project dates back to the purchase of this property in 2002, which started out as a small gala orchard. The first step was to remove the orchard and level the property which led to three large terraces. The next phase of was to relocate all power lines underground. We created the berm and all retaining walls using 68 (68!) dump-truck loads of granite from our own property on Kinsey Rd. We also built the rock arch entrance; rock stairs; two ponds with water features; and a large waterfall at the front of the house - all using more of the same granite. We have 23 irrigation zones for an acre-and-a-half yard, and we planted over 150 evergreen trees.
Thirteen years later, through the excitement and aching bodies, we have finally launched Lake’s Edge Tuscan Lodge. We look forward to years of meeting and greeting people from all over the globe (in fact, we have already!). The Lake Chelan Valley is one of the most beautiful places on earth, as told to us by travelers. We are located on the wine loop in Manson and we are a premiere lodge in our region.
We could not have accomplished this huge family endeavor without the undying support, help, planning, advice, creativity, and just plain old hard work of our amazing family.
Finally, the vision for this property has become a reality after 15 years.
